 Today we will talk about the ending of Chapter 16 and then work on your creative connection/visual aid.

Assignment: Draw a picture of an important scene, or a picture of an image that represents a greater idea in the book. Be sure to include a short-written component explaining why you chose to create your visual representation.

 

4 – Drawing and/or writing offers some analysis and insight in the text as a whole.  Writing is fresh/original and clear of grammar errors.  Creative connection remains accurate to the text and writing references specific events (textual evidence) in the novel. 

 

3 – Creative connection accurately reflects the text.  Writing reference specific events in the text.  Analysis or deeper insight into the text might be missing or oversimplified.  There may be some grammar errors in the writing.

 

2 – Creative connection references the text but may not accurately reflect it or may not reference specific events.  Writing may contain errors that impair readability.
